At Northwest, worship is our number one ministry priority. The Media Arts teams are key in providing our members and guests with a rich, meaningful worship experience.
The goal of the staff and volunteers within the Media Arts team is to make their hours of painstaking labor and meticulous attention to detail as invisible to worshipers as possible. We are grateful for their selfless commitment and hard work.
If you think this is be where God would have you serve, let us know, worship@nwbible.org .

Media Arts positions in detail
Tech Team
Provides setup, support and operation of all audio visual and lighting equipment for worship services, church-wide productions and ministry events.
Sound Tech
Responsible for setup and teardown of microphones and other sound equipment and for insuring that mics are turned on and off at appropriate times and at the correct sound level throughout a service or event. Due to the size and scope of our sound needs, we require training for beginning and advanced level sound techs.
Lighting Tech
Lighting techs work at the light console following a script of the service to raise and lower the light levels. No prior experience is required—we will provide training.
Video Director
The video director talks via headset to the camera operators to guide their shots and then mixes the shots to produce a video feed that is sent to closed circuit TV throughout our facility and recorded to tape. Normally, after a time, the more experienced camera operators move into the director role. If there is anyone with prior directing experience, we can work to get them plugged in to the video director role.
Camera Operator
If you have operated a home video camcorder you are on your way to being a camera operator. We will provide some training to learn the specifics of our cameras and how to follow the video director.
Photographer
No experience required. We train our volunteers! We ask that you have a digital SLR, a spirit of exploration and can make yourself available for special events throughout the year to take photographs.
ProPresenter Operator
ProPresenter slides are used every Sunday to show the lyrics to songs and sermon notes in both morning services. Experience is not expected—we provide the training.
Weekday Volunteer
From time to time we have needs for audio/visual help during the week for things such as Men’s and Women’s Bible studies. If your schedule is makes you accessible throughout the week, this is a great opportunity to serve.
