The Fire Must Never Go Out

The Fire Must Never Go Out

In Leviticus 6, God told the High Priest that when it came to the flame on the altar, “the fire must never go out.” This meant daily tending to the flame, removing the ashes from the altar, adding firewood, and anything else which kept the fire burning.

In today’s world, we give attention daily to our jobs, our families, and our hobbies…so why is it that when it comes to the most important thing in our lives—our relationship with Christ—we become complacent? The Lord knew the dire importance of tending to the flame of our love for Him daily, which is why he gave us the example of the High Priest tending to the fire on the altar.

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Ken Harrell brings us this poignant message for the Church today, and shares with us why “the fire must never go out.”
