On the second Sunday in Malawi we divided ourselves between three local churches. I had the privilege of worshiping at Pilira and Stewart’s church which meets in the multi-purpose building of the Passion Center. The singing was a huge blessing. Even though they sang in a different language and I could not understand what they were singing, they were singing praises to God and it was beautiful.
Brady preached at the church I went to. He did a great job of sharing God’s Word. He focussed on how God should be more than a component of our lives. God needs to be our life. He needs to be in our lives all the time. Paul was the example he gave of someone who loved the Lord God with his entire heart, mind, and soul. I was blessed.

The team regrouped for lunch with the Passion Center staff at Tasty Bites, one of the few restaurants in Zomba. I had a cheeseburger and chips (french fries). It isn’t unusual to wait an hour or so to receive your meal. My table received their meals within ten minutes but the rest of the team wasn’t so lucky.
After lunch we handed out blankets to the children of the Passion Center. Forty children live in the Residency Center and an additional 110 children, who live with guardians, receive support from the Passion Center. The blankets were a symbol of the warmth of God’s love for them. The smiles on their faces were priceless. Catherine is one of the Passion kids I have grown close to. After she received her blanket, she walked—or should I say ran—to her “room” in the Residency Center. I am grateful to God for allowing me to take part in this outreach to the children and guardians.
