Reflecting On A New Attitude At Work

Not I, But Christ
As we continue to REFLECT on the things God was saying to us on Sunday, and as we seek to submit ourselves to His lordship and the authority of His Word by RECALIBRATING our lives based on the things He said to us, let me remind you of God’s main thrust in Colossians chapter three. God is wanting to make sure that we understand that salvation wasn’t merely “receiving Christ into our life.” Oh, I know we use that terminology a lot, but I’m afraid it misses the real point! Salvation is NOT when I “receive Christ into MY life”—it is when Christ “BECOMES MY LIFE”! And that is so much more than semantics! Let me say it another way…Salvation is not merely a matter of ADDITION—it is a matter of TRANSFORMATION!

Colossians 3:3-4a says,

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life…”
