Preparing For A New Connection To The Body

In yesterday’s study we began looking at the closing section of the Book of Colossians where the Holy Spirit uses the Apostle Paul to give us a glimpse of what it looks like to be “connected” in the Body of Christ. It’s a very practical example of how God intended for the Body to function, and what it looks like in “real life.”

The whole passage basically centers around eight people that he mentions that were with him in Rome. As I said yesterday, if Paul were sending this letter today, he would probably have had a sheet laid out with pictures of these eight guys, with a little caption describing them, or having pertinent information about them, under each one. We looked at two of them yesterday, Tychicus and Onesimus (4:7-9).

And now today, we’ll direct our thoughts to and from Colossians 4:10-11, where Paul talks about three other men that were with him in Rome, as a part of his ministry team.
