God is truly amazing! It is always hard to sum up in a brief statement all that God has done in our lives and in the lives of the students at English Camp. We can say that God was there! We saw God at work in the hearts and lives of students as we watched walls being broken down by the love of Christ and Word of God.
Our first day of training was led by Craig Hamer. He shared with us some of what we might expect while at camp. Chris Brock then shared with us a great visual that focused into what we were praying God would accomplish at camp. Six chairs were lined up with the cross in the middle (3 on each side of the cross). The far left chair represented the students that have no understanding or knowledge of God. They might not even know a Christian. The far right chair represented the student that has been plugged in and is serving with LIFT and growing in their walk with Christ. The prayer for the week was to move students one chair closer to Christ. It would take too long to share all the movement this week! But God did move and three moved from the left side of the cross to the right side, giving their hearts to God! Many others said their lives have been changed. Today we received a Facebook message from a student who has been orphaned that said that he has started to read the Bible and that he will continue to seek after God! There are many stories that all say the same thing—God is
at work.
We are so proud of the team that God assembled for this trip. Each demonstrated a servants heart and a willingness to leave it all on the table! We know that God has changed our hearts, as we saw again God's global glory! What we continue to realize is that God is at work all over the world. It maybe Estonia, Guatemala, now the opportunity in Africa, but also in Columbus! Our responsibility is to be faithful and follow the Lord's leading, seeking to demonstrate what it means to be a true follower of Christ.
Thank you for praying! Thank you for the opportunity to represent Northwest and Christ in Estonia!
In Christ,
