“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.” —Colossians 2:8

While under house arrest, the apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, writes a letter to the growing church in Colossae. A church that knew Jesus but needed to be reminded of the truth.

It’s the truth still needed today. The truth of the gospel is that salvation comes through Jesus alone, and once we receive salvation, we are called to live in a manner worthy of the One who saved us.
